Terms of Use
The short version
Duck is a game. Play fair, do not attack the service, and you can delete everything whenever you like.
Your account
You need an account for a ranked score. Guest play gives you three runs per device, saves nothing, and does not appear on any leaderboard. You are responsible for keeping access to the sign-in method you chose.
Fair play
Every ranked score is verified by our server, which replays the recorded inputs and computes the score itself. Modifying the app, automating play, tampering with a recording, or otherwise submitting a score you did not achieve by playing will have the score removed and may have the account removed. We do not owe a refund for purchases on an account removed for cheating.
Nicknames and handles
Your nickname and social handle are shown to other players. Do not use anything obscene, hateful, impersonating, or advertising. We remove names that break this and may remove the account that keeps choosing them.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour
There is no tolerance here for objectionable content or for abusive behaviour towards other players. That covers obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory names, handles and messages, impersonation of another person, and using the game's social features to harass somebody. Messages exist only between players who have both agreed to be friends, are kept for at most 30 days, and blocking a player ends the conversation immediately in both directions.
Every player has two controls, on a long press on any player's row:
- Block. Immediate and private. A blocked player cannot nudge you or invite you to a duel, and they no longer appear on any board you see. You can undo it in Settings, under Blocked players.
- Report. Sends the name, the handle and your reason to us. We review every report and act on it within 24 hours — removing the name, and removing the account where the behaviour repeats.
An account removed for this reason is removed without a refund.
Purchases
- Lives, day passes and subscriptions are bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Consumable lives and day passes are not refundable once used, except where the law requires otherwise. All refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
- Prices may change. A change never applies to a subscription period you have already paid for, and a renewal at a new price requires your agreement.
The leaderboard
We may correct, reset or remove entries that are wrong, verified as fraudulent, or the result of a bug. If a bug inflated scores, we will say so when we correct it.
The service
Duck is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and we do not promise it always will be. The game is playable offline; leaderboards, purchases and account features need a connection.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your own country.
